Designer Focus - Pierre Le Tan

Today we are focusing on Pierre Le Tan as our inspiration this Monday. Neuilly born Le Tan is a wonderful painter and illustrator who has done work for for Stephen Jones, The New Yorker, Vogue, Coach and his daughter Olympia Le Tan who has her own label. He has designed fabric and been featured on numerous occasions in 'The World of Interiors'. He has also designed book covers, most famously for Peter Carey's 'Oscar & Lucinda'. 

'Pods' rug in Killcare

Our clients received their new rug 'Pods' on the weekend and they are very happy with the final result. We are also thrilled. It fits in beautifully with the surrounds of the house. They have just built an incredible home that is organic, airy and light - it feels completely at ease in its location, the south coast of NSW. They wanted a rug to sit in their lounge area that captured the space and would bring an element of the outside to the inside. 

Alongside 'Pods' we also put together a range of cushions for them, 'Poppies' v1 and  'Poppies' v2. They look gorgeous against the tones of the rug. Hope you too like the final results. For all enquiries please contact us at info@rousephillips.com

Batik Chain

'Batik Chain' is exclusive to Rouse Phillips Textiles. Here it is printed on our 100% European cotton that has a width of 148cm. This fabric is suitable for all soft furnishing and domestic / occasional upholstery. It is also available to order on our 65% cotton, 35% linen suitable for heavy upholstery. 

Batik Chain is available by the meter.

New rug release - 'Sofala'

Our beautiful new rug 'Sofala' is now in its entirety and available to order. 

We love this rug - it is modern, organic and very beautiful. A rug that would be suited to both traditional and contemporary settings. The silk and wool combine to give a very luminescent effect. There is the strong burnt oranges in wool sitting against a black silk background with silver silk highlights that appear like mercury running across the rug.

Here are two different variations of the rug - the full design as seen in photo 2 as well as a large scaled section of the design made for a clients specifications.

This rug has been made entirely by hand in Nepal. All yarns are hand spun and dyed using natural, organic dyes. Our rugs are dense and durable as well as an incredible feature for your space.

Here 'Sofala' is pictured along with Rouse Phillips Textiles fabric Grecian Tile [Black & White] and Grecian Tile v2 [Terracotta]. This fabric is suitable for all soft furnishing and residential upholstery.
